I suggest we get down to crafting!
How about going back to scissors and glue, and making a cut-out?
I think the first time I saw an Advent Calendar was in the supermarket: made of cardboard, with little windows and a chocolate with a drawing for each day.
And it may seem silly, but I love these things! They make me feel like a kid again.
I had the idea of revisiting an Advent Calendar I made once for my niece and creating a downloadable A4 version that you can make at home.
There are twenty-five house-shaped boxes to cut out, assemble, and fill with surprises.
And let's give a cheer for AutoCAD patterns! they have helped me decorate each box.
Instructions: 1.Download the PDF file. 2.Print on white cardboard: there are thirteen A4 size sheets. 3.Cut along the dotted lines. 4.Fold along the solid gray lines. 5.Apply glue to the tabs with dots. Recommendation: It's easier to assemble them gradually (two tabs at a time, for example). Note: For now, leave the tabs with "cierre" (closure) written on them unglued. 6.Fill the boxes with surprises for each day (the box for Day 25 is the final and largest one, it will have the most awesome surprise inside! :D ) 7.Now you can close the boxes by applying glue to the two "cierre" (closure) tabs. 8.Enjoy! On December 1st we open the first box, and continue each day until the 25th: Christmas!
9.Don't hesitate to show us how they look in your home! (Facebook: @madeintrol.www / Instagram: @madeintrol )
