My name is Marta and you are in Trol, a clothing brand for enthusiasts of Color and the Singular.
What a joy to have you here: I'm sure you are also a person with a curious look! It's fun to go around with "special glasses on and antennas deployed", because everywhere you can find amazing things that spark your imagination. A song, a scene from a movie, a painting, a conversation, a graffiti, the shadow of a tree, a cloud with a peculiar shape, a building.

And humans are interested and amazed by so many different things!

For me, to design is to elaborate a story: to discover what I want to tell in each new collection, and how.
Choosing each part: materials, colors and textures. Imagining and giving shape to the prints. Taking care of the details. Gathering all the pieces and arranging them so that together they tell a Story!

I love sharing the step-by-step process, everything that leads to the final result. Knowing the why behind things, and understanding where they come from makes them more special and much more interesting, don't you think?
From the idea to the last touch up, they are part of a conscientious and slow creative process, infused with enthusiasm and care. The "trolecitos" (Trol clothes) are "more than just clothing": special objects, little jewels.

Limited editions, made in Spain with carefully selected materials (such as organic cotton or knitted garments in merino wool and egyptian mako cotton). They are locally crafted in small workshops in Madrid and Tenerife, and sometimes sewn by me.
This adventure goes way back! I studied architecture, and it was in university, thanks to my friends: we encouraged each other and started designing and sewing our own clothes!
Taking the leap to create my own brand would come several years later...
