A LABoratory. An isolated "bubble" from the world, where experiments can be conducted.
Stacks of books are visible. A table filled with scattered papers, drawings, and annotations. A microscope with a sample of... wool? Test tubes emitting smoke with knitted collars!
Flasks distilling checkered and striped patterns. Jars containing textures of cables and braids. Glass containers revealing zigzag and herringbone designs. Colors cascading through funnels and serpentine tubes.
It's about simple ingredients: classic patterns and textures that feel very familiar and close to us. But combined in "impossible mixes"! Because sometimes, surprise comes from looking at the familiar with curious eyes.
The result of the experiment are "new little creatures": Some seem to be formed by pieces, as if they were several garments put together in one. There are others in which the prints change their order, as if inventing a new one.
LAB is an imaginary place, and also an attitude: allowing oneself to experiment by playing!
